Camping at Assateague Island has officially been cancelled, which is probably a good thing. The weather down there has been pretty crazy (lots of rain/flooding and high winds), and it's probably going to get worse since it's looking like Hurricane Joaquin might be heading towards the East Coast. So, McGee and I officially have NO plans this weekend!! We're so excited. The past few weekends have been beyond exhausting, so we're going to keep this weekend pretty darn free which sounds AMAZING. I think our only house project this weekend will be to hang up some pictures, etc because we haven't really hung up very much! We have artwork and pictures just kinda leaning on walls everywhere (especially in my office), so it'll feel good to get some stuff up on some walls!
It's looking like it's probably going to hit somewhere on the East Coast...
Another reason it's kinda good that the camping plans for this weekend have officially been cancelled is that the poison ivy in our yard got me AGAIN. We knew we were definitely getting pretty exposed to it the last two weekends when we were working on the invisible fence, but we were SO careful with using the good soap afterwords that's supposed to remove the poison ivy oils... but... I still have it everywhere. McGee has it on his wrists and on the back of his neck, and I have it on my face, wrists/forearms, neck, and it's really bad on my stomach and back (I wore a shirt made out of thin material for the yardwork, so I'm guessing some of the oils were able to get through the material... ugh...). I've had a lot of trouble sleeping the past few nights because of how itchy I've been, so I was a little worried about camping because I REALLY don't think I could handle getting any more mosquito bites or getting any itchier right now...
So, I think this weekend we're going to do lots of hanging out, movie watching (and we might go see The Martian starring Matt Damon!), cooking, and just relaxing. It kinda sounds like heaven. Itchy heaven maybe, but still heaven. OH, and I'm definitely going to decorate for Halloween!! I got a few new things that I'm really excited about. Here's my Fall Bucket List again! I made one update, and that's that I added Hotel Transylvania to the movie list, because I thought that looked super cute and I haven't seen it yet. And after this weekend I'll be able to check off "Decorate for Halloween"!!
