Washington Trip Part 4: Suquamish and the ferry to Seattle

Sorry for the delay in getting the final parts of this trip posted!  Work has been INSANE, and life has been incredibly busy. There are only two more parts of our WA trip to post though, so I'm hoping to get both of those posted today!

On Day 6 of our trip, we decided to just look on AirBnB and find someplace that looked nice in the direction of Seattle and stay there for a night!  We had an "extra" unplanned night in our trip since we decided to change our trip and not stay that 2nd night in the tiny Mount Rainier cabin. We are SO glad we made that change!  We ended up finding a really amazing AirBnB in a place called Suquamish (near Bainbridge Island), and it was on our way towards Seattle!  The woman who owned the AirBnB was SO incredibly sweet, and she couldn't have been more welcoming. We had the entire studio apartment over the garage to ourselves, and it was SO comfortable and perfect!  The house was located right on the water, and it was a really gorgeous area. We arrived there and got all showered and cleaned up, and then we took a leisurely stroll into town.  The town was adorable and tiny and peaceful, and there were three bars/restaurants.  One of them had a really great outdoor patio with some awesome views of the water, so we went there and just relaxed for a few hours, enjoyed the scenery, and had a few beers! It was perfect. After relaxing there for a while, we wandered over to one of the other restaurants and had dinner, and then walked back to our apartment!  It was the perfect day/evening to rest from all of the hiking and National Parks, and recoup for our upcoming time in Seattle.
This was the view from our table...

Yep, I could get used to this.

The next morning (Day 7) we had a nice breakfast in the apartment with the coffee, juice, english muffins, and homemade jam that the owner had left for us. And then we packed up our car and headed towards the Bainbridge Island Ferry to take a ferry over to Seattle!  I was a little nervous about how the whole "driving your car onto a ferry" thing worked, but it was SUPER easy and really cool.  The ferry is such a beautiful way to arrive in Seattle!!  Here are a bunch of pictures from the ferry ride, and then I'll do a separate post for our time in Seattle!

The ferry!

That's Seattle in the distance! Such a cool way to arrive!

It's getting closer!!  You can see the Space Needle towards the left.

Much closer!!

Space Needle!

Seattle!!
